Roppongi Hills

1 Apr

Aside from the many embassies which are located in this region, a visit to Roppongi Hills is well worthwhile as there is lots to see and do. The giant Mori Tower is the most obvious landmark – be sure to look for the ‘spider sculpture’ at ground level where many office workers meet up. TV Asahi is located here – entry is free with much to look at – and if Doriamon is your thing – you’ll spend all your yen in the souvenir shop. The Ferrari Japan office is also located around the corner – and hey – it’s free to admire !Although the area has a ‘prestigious’ feel to it, there are many reasonably priced restaurants nearby – try the arcade near the subway station exit for starters. If you want some time out, there is a well kept Japanese garden located in front of the TV Asahi building. If you’ve got a day to spare in Tokyo and are looking for a slice of modern Japan, hit the subway to Roppongi Hills.
